Sara Mooney

Sara Mooney is a technology geek and entertainment / information professional, residing in Las Vegas, NV.  She is an eastern Pennsylvania native, and worked in Orlando, FL for 10 years as a professional theatrical lighting technician. Currently, she works as a Technical Documentalist (a combination of knowledge management / archivist / librarian / researcher) for Cirque du Soleil’s Viva ELVIS at the Aria Resort and Casino. Sara’s passions lay in new media, metadata, and taxonomy.  A Florida State University Spring 2010 MLIS graduate, she would like to continue researching how media, metadata, and taxonomy affect knowledge management and corporate/public/academic libraries.  She is a member of the American Library Association, ASIS&T, Nevada Library Association, and Special Libraries Association.

Sara began blogging in 2004, right around the time she began exploring the possibility of the information field as profession. Some topics that her posts have explored are privacy, technology, and every day events as she takes the journey in becoming a full-time information professional. Oh, and there’s certainly some fun thrown in as well because you can’t take life too seriously!
